Thermal Expansion Casing Collar – TECC

What is it?
• Acts as an integrated part of the Casing String.
• Allows relaxation of casing stresses caused by thermal forces.
• Maintains pressure integrity with advanced sealing technology

Why use it?
• Prevents damage to casing while maintaining casing integrity.
• Prevents restrictions inside casing caused by buckling damage, thus allowing free passage for downhole equipment.
• Extends life of the well.
• Allows uncemented Liners to be retrieved from wellbore.
• Also beneficial to use where formation subsidence or reservoir compaction may occur, even in non-thermal wells.

How to use it?
• The TECC is positioned in the well where casing stress is expected.

• Well Logging results can measure stroke distance.
